VULPIANO RECORDS, Neurotic Wreck – Glow Ghosts (VULP-0084)

tumblr_oa53awadJ21qaikyto1_500A Netlabel Day 2016 Special Release

I am very proud to offer the latest album from Neurotic Wreck on Vulpiano Records: Glow Ghosts. Glow Ghosts has a little bit of everything that sole force Dan Wreck behind the musical project has on offer – sultry synth pop, girl-group inspired broken heart anthems, and sweet acoustic crooning. Recommended if you like Gary Numan, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Durutti Column. Neurotic Wreck has two previous Vulpiano releases: Priceless, Bloody Priceless and I’m Laura Palmer.

CHAOSTROPHY :artworks inspired by the band Coil

17.06.2016 – 23.07.2016

Anzengruberstr. 3, 12043 Berlin
curated by Ceven Knowles

CHAOSTROPHY-3bThe music of Coil spanned over twenty-two years with fifteen studio albums, nine live albums, ten compilations, and dozens of Eps and singles, not to mention different aliases, side projects, and other collaborations. Founding members, John Balance (February 16, 1962 – November 13, 2004) and Peter “Sleazy” Christopherson (February 27, 1955 – November 10, 2010) created a rich body of work that came to also include members: Stephen Thrower, Drew McDowell, William Breeze, Thighpaulsandra, Ossian Brown and countless other guest musicians and singers. Their ever-evolving sound and presence became a legacy deeply respected by artists, musicians, and occultists around the world. Rather than a retrospective of the band’s output this exhibition focuses on original visual and audio artworks, photographs, texts, performances and personal reflections as a tribute.

This serves as the opening exhibition at LUDWIG a new gallery, small event venue, culture house, and bar in Berlin Neukölln spread over three large rooms covering 114 square meters. Over the weeks of the exhibition online video documentaries, live streaming events and other materials giving portraits the artists involved and their contributions will be released online for those who cannot be in Berlin can experience as well.

VULPIANO RECORDS, Neurotic Wreck – Priceless, Bloody Priceless (VULP-0074)

tumblr_o5oxanmGcL1qaikyto1_500New EP from Neurotic Wreck, a stop-gap before a special Netlabel Day release in July and a kind of “tribute” to Record Label Day. following up from I’m Laura Palmer on Vulpiano Records back in 2013. Now Dan Wreck is partner of label founder Marilyn Roxie, who is pleased to present another release from Wreck once more.

A message from Neurotic Wreck:

A collection of new tracks put together for you to listen to while queueing up outside a shop you ignore the other 364 days of the year to buy an overpriced reissue of something by an established act on a major label in the name of independence.

Various articles which can be easily found highlighting the problem of pressing plants being unable to print up releases on indie labels due to being booked up with majors repressing collections of old b-sides on white vinyl.

This release comes ahead of another free release from me, a full length album called Glow Ghosts In Subspace coming out on the 14th of July (Netlabel Day) on Marilyn Roxie’s Vulpiano Records. Sandalphon will be coming out on Small Bear Records in Autumn, more details to follow.

VULPIANO RECORDS, Neurotic Wreck’s I’m Laura Palmer EP (VULP-0044)

Neurotic Wreck’s I’m Laura Palmer EP (VULP-0044) is the latest offering from the talented UK singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dan Wreck. After positively reviewing his previous music submission Leave Tonight Mixtape Side 2 on A Future in Noise, I was immediately interested in a future Neurotic Wreck release becoming part of the Vulpiano library. Here it is – four tracks that showcase his eclectic sound well, from spooky synth work (“I’m Laura Palmer”) to his impassioned and melancholic singer-songwriter approach (“My Reason to Believe”, “Crowned”) and even a slice of girl-group-esque sweetness (“Show Me Who Broke Your Heart”).
